Ms. Nies’ education was firmly grounded in the Liberal Arts. She believes passionately that the ability to draw on knowledge of disparate cultures, languages, art, and history is essential to bring depth and excellence to academic and professional pursuits. Training in vocal performance, at any level, equips students with valuable skills that serve for the rest of their lives. Ms. Nies’s students learn discipline, public presentation, projection, and communication while gaining the ability to connect to art as an expression of the universality of human experience.
